I really want to play Horizon: Zero Dawn again, but I remember the story too well to feel like I’m ready for another play through.

another game I want to replay but also still remember to o well:

I hope the sequels to both these games are worth the wait.

in the mean time I will continue to consume procedurally-generated space exploration and wonder why The Witcher 3 never really did it for me...

I need to get my own PS4 at some point. I have one that I share with my sister but it is really more hers than mine and it goes to school with her so I only get to use it in the summer.

To this day the Uncharted series is one of my favourites. Nier Auto mata was amazing as well.

Elite: Dangerous exploration is pretty chill. Probably not as as easy as No Mans Sky but still pretty cool. Some people get bored with the exploration side though since we can’t land on atmospheric planets yet. J ust lots of rocks in space. The game community is the best I've ever found though.

Nier has musical concerts, which are in Japanese, but great for lore. Really interesting backstory to the game.

Horizon: Zero Dawn is a t riumph of both story telling and game mechanics. It's also an object lesson in art direction and landscape buffering. Without a doubt one of the finest games I've ever played.

Elite was fully released in 2014 , however it is still a work in progress. Because of the scale of the project they initially released the game with no planetary landings. They have now added non-atmospheric landings, engineering, multi-crew, Thargoids (alien threats), Guardians (dead alien technology), and hosts of updates to all manner of things. W e are currently coming up on the 4th quarter of the Beyond expansion which is a free expansion that comes with the Horizon expansion. The game is only 30 dollars initially but Horizons expansion is only 30 dollars and gives you access to a huge amount of gameplay options and features.

Tired Elite, but could never get into it, despite liking thematically similar stuff, like Egosoft’s X games (currently hyping myself up for next month’s X4, despite their previous game being terrible).

So of Elite’s problem was that it just dumped you in without telling you how to do anything (no I do not want to go watch tutorials on Youtube...).

Third party tools and learning are unfortunately essential for a full experience. I enjoy that but completely understand that people don’t want to mess with that. With Horizons they actually added some pretty decent tutorials.

I’ve been playing Witcher 3 since early 2017. Nearly done ;)
